Well, it's the eve of my big trip around the world and I can't quite believe it is finally here! I have been planning this with my friend and fellow backpacker Sarah for nearly 3 years, and now it's here it somehow doesn't seem real!

Anyway, since I finished work 10 days ago, things have been so hectic with not only getting myself organised for my travels but also Christmas. Anyone who knows me will know that my organisational skills are not exactly at their best yet, so as you can imagine it has been very stressful - but also very exciting of course!

Much of the week has been filled with getting last minute bits and bobs and catching up with friends and family.
As we speak I have just taken a break from packing my rucksack, which isn't going too well!

I have no idea how i'm gonna fit everything in and be able to carry it on my back!

Luckily, I have a friend coming over later to help me who I am sure will be ruthless and make me take out half the things I have packed! She somehow has to teach me how to pack lightly in just a couple of hours! Good luck!

The first of our many stops is Bangkok. We arrive there on Sunday night and at the moment Sarah and I plan on staying a couple of nights before making our way to one of the Islands for New Year.

If anyone can recommend places to go, places to stop, places to eat etc in Thailand please let me know.

This is a first for me so any advice or recommendations will be much appreciated.
Anyway, I will update you all very soon in sunny Thailand!
