Tron Legacy: Preview
There is huge excitement for what promises to be a fantastic sequel to Stephen Lisbergers Tron.

Tron Legacy is definitely being released later this year by Disney, with an exciting new teaser trailer now available following its premiere at last year's Comic-Con ceremony.
The original film still feels as fresh and vibrant today with its remarkable neon colouring as it did when it was released in 1982. And like the original film the sequel would not be complete without Jeff Bridges, who plays key character Flynn in the original.
Flynn becomes trapped in the cyber world in the original film, where he is terrorised by the ruthless Ed Dillinger who is under orders from the master control programme. The new film is rumoured to centre on Flynn's son, who is searching for his father (Jeff Bridges) who has seemingly been missing since 1989, lost in the cyber universe.
"The uniqueness of Tron has always stuck with me", says new director Joseph Kosinski of his approach to the visuals. "It was important to me that this film also looks like nothing else out there". From the teaser trailer to the screen shots of the new Tron Legacy film it is clear that it will be a visually unique film, using elements of the 1982 visuals and combining that with modern CGI to create something that looks truly stunning.
Shooting of the film was wrapped up in July of 2009, 17 months before its rumoured release date, at which point it has undergone an extraordinarily long period of post-production and effects work to achieve special effects the likes of which have never been seen before.
